From the heart

Today was my 11th treatment, not really any different than any other. They did take films with the radiation and I am not sure why that is,but this is my first time with radiation so... there are a lot of new things. After radiation I went to Physical Therapy and since I can no longer do the weights in the gym and I am getting so sore, the Physical Therapist has to massage only certain areas for the lymphatic draining. She said ...it might get less and less each time as I get sorer.

Right after that I went to the other side of the hospital and meet Amy and Angie at their doctor appointment. Today Amy was meeting with the midwife and then we also got to hear the baby's heart beat. I am telling you there is something magical about hearing that little heartbeat for the first time, I had tears in my eyes. Of course the moment was interrupted because Angie needed me to play with her. Just almost 3 years ago, my friend and I drove to Idaho while Amy was pregnant with Angie to go to the doctor, hear the heartbeat for the first time and to help Amy set up the nursery, that was a fun trip. Now here we are doing it again, I am so grateful to be able to be a grandma (actually Nana), it honestly is one of the best feelings in the world. I love it!

So after a three hour nap, I got up feeling better and headed outside for a walk. I am trying hard to get stronger and to keep this fatigue from completely stopping me. But when you look around at my house you would realize that it is keeping me from doing my normal stuff and the worst part is ...I am so tired that I don't even care. I have decided to name the dust bunnies and just realize that I have 2 weeks down and ONLY 5 to go. Yikes, that actually does seem like a long time.

Need to head to bed. From the bottom of my heart ...thank you for being such a big and important part of my life!

Angie and I always have fun being with you Mom! Even if it's a little crazy with Angie keeping us on our toes! I'm glad you got to hear the baby's heartbeat... it is a magical experience! Feel better and we'll see you soon! Love you!
