Where are you from?

When I was at Brad and Krystal's house, they had me do a survey to see where I was born. It was fun but I think I have been away from West Virginia long enough, to really trip me up... however Brad and Krystal's was right on. It was fun... you can try it yourself  HERE:

Plus, here are the highlights of our 1 Day sleepover with the girls. We are trying to make up for lost time! :)
Need to keep sewing, class tomorrow!
Night dear friends!

Sleep Over with Miss Jenny!

I cooked most of the day yesterday so I could just play with Jenny today, at her Sleepover. First after we picked her up...we went to lunch at Taco Time. After that a trip to Hallmark to look at all the wonderful Christmas stuff there (love that place). Then off the grocery store where we picked up a few of our last minute things for tomorrow. Then we stopped by and saw a friend who just had her baby a few days ago. Jenny brought their little boy and the baby a balloon, she loved the baby of course. Came home, Jenny and Poppa played for awhile with her Purple Blanket. ( Jeff always teases her about how much he loves her Purple Blanket, they run around the room over and over again, trying to get the blanket from each other ). Jenny told me that she thinks we should get Poppa a Purple Blanket for Christmas  :)
Then after dinner we made a few more Thanksgiving deliveries and we headed to Menchies ( a frozen yogurt place ) and had a treat. After that, a quick movie and then headed to bed. When she went downstairs to watch the movie I told her that I might stay upstairs and get a few things done. Her response, "But Nana, I want you to watch the movie with me, I love you". Yes, how grateful I am for Sleep Over Days and all the fun memories they bring. Seeing everything through a child's eyes...truly does give you more Gratitude.
Happy Thanksgiving Dear Friends!

This is her true smile, she is a very fun, energetic, spicy, and always funny !

Burrito with nothing but chicken, rice, and cheese...with ketchup to dip it in! Yuck, but she likes it!

Apple and Chocolate Yogurt mixed together...yum!

The best 4 day Sleepover ever!

Since Jeff is out of town, Angie came over for a 4 day Sleep Over with Nana. What a wonderful day we have had ...and it is only our first day! We started out sleeping in and then having a nice breakfast together. Then we straightened up a bit. Angie decided she wanted to mop the floors while I did the dishes. Next we colored some and then we had lunch. Right after lunch we went looking for Butterflies, she has a new bug catcher that we were going to try and use. The weather was suppose to rain all day but it didn't, and so we took advantage of the sunshine while we could. Next we came home, got the car and decided to do a few errands before it got to close to dinner time.

I tried to block out my day to just spend the day with her... and what fun that was. Every store we went to, she just kept telling what a great sleepover this was. For dinner we ate at a restaurant that she had never gone to Panera Bread. She picked where we sat, I picked the drinks...water with lemons. She kept saying during dinner," this is the best place I have ever eaten...I really should invite my Mom some time". She loved the food, the atmosphere and all the time we were getting to spend together.
Then we walked across the street and got some frozen yogurt. In just the short time we were eating dinner, we saw the storm clouds rolling in. As we came out of the yogurt place, the wind was really blowing and it was raining hard. We laughed as we ran to the car, it was soooo much fun to run in the rain.
Then we decided it was early enough to do one more thing before we went home. So we stopped at a book store and went to the children's corner and sat and read books and just played. It really was fun. Then we came home, put jammies on and watched a movie together. It was a great day!
It was so sweet! Oh to be a kid again,( a kid like her I should say). Not sure I am want to go back and repeat any of my childhood again. Still I feel blessed to be able to share her childhood with her, I feel in some ways I can imagine how fun it would be.
I wish to all my friends who haven't been blessed with Grandchildren, that I could bottle up the fun and the memories and give it to them; so they could experience what it feels like. I try to be careful not to brag too much about my grand kids, for I know there are many lonely hearts out there ...that can hardly wait or could only wish to be a Grandma or a Nana. So I don't take my job lightly. I just want to help these kids be safe, know who they are and help them remember how loved they are. Those things should be huge stepping stones in their lives.
Yes, I pray that Angie as well as all my grandchildren, will some day remember the fun times that they had with Nana!
Good night dear friends!

Halloween Carnival

Ever since my granddaughters realized that we will be celebrating Halloween with Kai, they have been worried that we wouldn't get to share it together. The same is true with my friend's children ( who also think Aunt Lynn needs to celebrate the holidays with them too). Of course I couldn't let them down....so we decided to have a Halloween Carnival at my house today!

So with the help of their Momma's...
we three pulled off the cutest Halloween Carnival for these 6 cute kids. We had all kinds of games, and projects for them to do.

And special Halloween treats like Witches Brew ( hot chocolate ), homemade Pumpkin cookies, veggies and lots more. We read some spooky Halloween stories and then played more games. When I get the photos back, I will share them with you. This cute boy above... just kept walking through the streamers we had over the door way, that was really all he needed to celebrate today..too cute!
It made me happy to have all these sweet kids around me! I love them a ton, and only wish my little Kai boy could have been with us...his day will come!
The girls were excited that tonight was also their Sleep Over at Nana and Poppa's house!
So I am just going to leave with you some happy thoughts.... because I am too tired to write much more!
