Missing these little faces!

Well, I am sorry to say that I did end up catching Jeff's flu virus. I tried so hard not to, but between him and Lee being so sick last week...I don't think I had much of a chance.
Anyway this weekend has been not quite I expected, I had so much to do but really haven't felt much like doing anything.
Highlight of my weekend was doing some face time with these guys.

We are so excited that in a few more weeks, we get to see our grandkids

They are coming here to visit. It is so hard living so far away. But look at those sweet eyes...can hardly wait.

Kai is such a great brother to Miss Oakley.
Oakley is a lucky girl to have a Big Brother who will always watch over her!

Kai likes to create, can't wait to do some fun things with him.
A cute sign for a new big brother. "Sometimes being a brother is even better than being a superhero.":

Grateful for these sweet kids in my life!

My kind of Super Hero!

This handsome Grandson of ours Kai, just turned 4 years old! We love him so much! He is quite taken with Superman, and so for his birthday...his Mom and Dad made him the coolest Super Hero Party ever!

It is so hard to believe that he is already 4, I love that boy so much! I love being able to create for him and create with him.
He loves to do anything with me, even my back exercises! :)
He loves to do anything with color!

He even wanted to try sewing and quilting with me! He was great!

He like both of his Grandfathers... is even good with wood creations! Look at this Reindeer he and his Dad created!

He is the best Big Brother ever! Oakley is a very blessed little girl to have such a wonderful big Brother!

We got to FaceTime with him tonight and watch him open his Birthday present from us. He has had so much company since his Birthday...we decided to wait till things settled down.
This is what I made for Kai's Birthday. Thought it was  appropriate since his Grandpa works at Boeing! I thought he might need a place to tuck his animals to bed at night!
I look at this picture of Bradley as a Father, and I can hardly believe that he himself grew up this fast. There is something about a Moms and their boys... that is so Special! Then there is a part of your heart that a Grandson has... that is pretty Special too!

Oh how we love you Hezekiah, you are good boy and I think you are the only Super Hero ...that your Nana and Poppa would ever need! Happy Birthday!

Remembering Texas... Day 1 and 2

The trip to Austin, Texas was only half full, that is the first time ever. It was great plus we had a non-stop flight, which made it even better!

Jeff and I had a whole row to ourselves and to top it off it was a beautiful day! Only bad news is... I didn't make a new friend on this flight! :(

I love all the colorful guitars that line up near the baggage claim in Austin Texas! Fun!

Then we got to see our sweet Oakley, Jeff had never met her and I only saw here right after she was born, she has grown sooo much!

We brought their Christmas presents with us, so it was fun spending a 2nd Christmas with them. Here is Kai looking at his picture that his cousin Jenny drew for him!
The scarf I crocheted for him, fit him perfect...although it was pretty warm when we were there.
Kai loved all the Nana's Boy Restaurant stuff was a hit. That is what Kai and I named our own Restaurant that we created together.

He got a bell, a restaurant sign, a calendar, a order book, a tray, apron, napkin for his arm and a pen. He absolutely loved that Aunt Lauren drew a cartoon of he and I together. She is sooo talented. I am having the pocket of the apron and a towel printed with our logo on it, and will send that to him soon.
It took Oakley about a 1/2 of a day to get use to us! Then she never stopped smiling, that is her normal self. I crocheted 4 of these headbands for her. She actually made them look even better!

Can't tell you how good it felt to hang out with my boy again. Kai is my only grandson and boy has he stolen my heart!

Getting ready for Christmas!

Well, I can't believe it has been this long since I have posted. We have been so busy getting things ready for Christmas. One tradition that we have with the girls... is to have them pick out some things that they would think a little boy or girl their age would like or need, then we take it over to the nearest Sleep Country, where they have a collection area.
I love to see the concern they have for the kids that are less fortunate than them.

Then this week we got to have the Sister Missionaries over for a Christmas dinner. I remember when I was on my mission far away from home for Christmas, how fun it was to have families invite us into their home at such a wonderful and busy time of the year!

It was fun getting stockings ready for them and for decorating the table
up for dinner!
Then another gift I got early was for Amy, Lauren and I to go out for a day together. We started out going to the Temple...how grateful I was to be with them in such a special place! Then we went shopping and then went out to lunch!

The rest of the week we just delivered Christmas gifts and we blessed to get have so many of you
drop off wonderful things for us, Thank you!. And the Christmas cards this year...were simply beautiful!
Then tonight we went to Amy and John's house and had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner.
We got to watch a Christmas special, and just enjoy having our family together.

We were blessed to even be able to Face Time with Kai and Oakley in Texas, it was so fun to have the whole family together, so grateful for modern technology! We even got to sing a Christmas song together and wish them a good night. Oh how I love those Texas kiddos!

I think Kai is going to take after his Nana, he loves Christmas too! Look what he and his family made after finding a branch that looked just like antlers! :)
Then Lauren gave her Christmas present to me early! A watercolor that she did. She is one talented girl! I love it!!!!!
I pray that each of you have a wonderful Christmas, and are able to feel the true meaning of Christmas this year.
Good night dear friends and Merry Christmas!

Our story!

Yesterday I got back home from Texas. How fun it was to meet my sweet new granddaughter Miss Oakley! She is just too cute!
It was fun to see Brad and Krystal's new house, it is a beautiful cottage!
Also fun to see Kai with his new baby sister, he really loves her!
I just wanted to hold her every minute that I could!

Also Kai and I had a lot of fun playing in
the sand and creating castles in the house with the air conditioner on...that is the only way to play in the sand in Texas :)
We also had a wonderful time working on our LynnMade website together. it was fun to see all the kids working together with their talents on the same project. One would say something then the other one would put their two cents in ...and then they would compromise ;). Each one had so many different things to bring to the table. How I wish that Lee could have been there too. He always acts like he doesn't have any art talents but he has it in him too!

So I will try to stay focusd and keep working on my Christmas project, all the while knowing that  a  big part of my heart is in Texas...
...with these two!
