Happy New Years! 2013

I know of a few friends, who also are struggling right now in their lives. I wonder at times what is the answer for each of them?  What is the right answer for me, since I have been struggling so bad lately also?
What are the right words to say?
The truth is...I really do know what the answer is for them ...and even for myself. It is an answer that has been around for thousand of  years, and they are in the scriptures. I am not sure why I try so hard to find answers somewhere else.
These are the words of Christ and I know they are true, and that my life is better when I not only know His words... but follow and obey them. Too simple? To most problems there is usually a simple answer...it's just all the emotional part of the problem that makes things complicated and complex.
Here are the scriptures that I have marked and continue to go back to in the Bible for comfort, support, direction and peace! Things that I can't seem to find in the world around me. I won't mention all of them but these are a few at the top of my list! And like anything else... you don't have to take my word for it, pray about it for yourself ( James 1: 5-6 ) and see if His peace and light don't make you feel better right away

John 14:27  The peace that Christ is talking about is the type of peace that helps us not only through the dark valleys of worry and pain, but also through dimly lit passages of our daily lives.

John 13: 34-35  We need to remember to show love on a daily basis to those around us.

John 12:35-37  Jesus Christ is the light. I love the analogy that He gives about Himself being the light and how that light will guide us. I also think it is important to remember that "Seeing is not believing, but believing is seeing" That is so true. Because of my believes, I see the world in a different and better way for me! I am grateful for that Light that Christ offers me ( us ).

Matthew 11:28-30  The Savior helps us with our burdens, shares the load, does not take them away but helps to make us stronger so our load will be lighter and easier to bear. It is vital that we come unto Him. He is waiting but we have to come and ask for help, light and strength.

Revelations 21: 3-4  No matter what happens in our lives...one day the Lord will make it right and wipe away our tears!

So no matter what...let's start this New Year off right...with much faith, hope, courage and peace.
Good night dear friends and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Well, here is the New Year’s Eve and we are sitting at my families home, playing games and just hanging out together. How grateful I am for the past year, lots of things have transpired and many lessons have been learned. Thank you so much for the part you have played in my life. I hope you are enjoying the holidays!

Recipe for a Happy New !

Take twelve fine, full-grown months; see that these are thoroughly free from old memories of bitterness, rancor and hate, cleanse them completely from every clinging spite; pick off all specks of pettiness and littleness; in short, see that these months are freed from all the past—have them fresh and clean as when they first came from the great storehouse of Time. Cut these months into thirty or thirty-one equal parts. Do not attempt to make up the whole batch at one time (so many persons spoil the entire lot this way) but prepare one day at a time.

Into each day put equal parts of faith, patience, courage, work (some people omit this ingredient and so spoil the flavor of the rest), hope, fidelity, liberality, kindness, rest (leaving this out is like leaving the oil out of the salad dressing— don’t do it), prayer, meditation, and one well-selected resolution. Put in about one teaspoonful of good spirits, a dash of fun, a pinch of folly, a sprinkling of play, and a heaping cupful of good humor.  ~ Anonymous

Cheers to a New Year and another chance for us to get it right.  ~ Oprah Winfrey

“Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better man.”  ~ Benjamin Franklin

“Here’s to the bright New Year, and a fond farewell to the old; here’s to the things that are yet to come, and to the memories that we hold.”
