It's February already!

It was this time last year that Jeff had surgery on his knee, Lee had pneumonia and I was scheduled to have my gall bladder taken out. I was hoping that 2008 was going to get better, but that never seemed to happen. Here we are a year later and I am praying that 2009 won't be quite the struggle as last  year. I love February, I love Valentine's Day and the beautiful colors and decorations that go with it. I love sending Valentine's to all my friends and family. This year will be a bit different since I don't have much energy to do those type of things. But please know that I still love and appreciate you.

Today was Day number 9 for my radiation. I met with the Dr afterwards for them to check your skin and see how your feel. I told them what  a rough weekend I had. They decided that we would do a blood test tomorrow to check my white blood cell count and to make sure every thing is ok. As far as my incision, it hasn't leaked any more and the redness and soreness is not an infection  they said but for sure the my body reacting to the radiation. I said "Isn't that early?" Their reply is that everyone is different. They gave me a gel pad that I can use to help with the soreness and tenderness. I am hoping it works because everything is rubbing and starting to get sore. Oh brother, anyway I am just going to have to try my best to be tough and not complain. I really don't want to be sore again, I so want to be done with all this... oh well, I have to keep remembering it's not forever....right?

I will close tonight with a quote that I like...

"LOVE KNOWS NO LIMIT TO ITS ENDURANCE,

NO END TO ITS TRUST, NO FADING OF ITS HOPE;

IT CAN OUTLAST ANYTHING.

LOVE STILL STANDS WHEN ALL ELSE HAS FALLEN"
