Best Friends!

On Tuesday, one of my Best Friends came to visit from Indiana. We haven't seen each other in years, and we have known each other since we first met at work when I was 18 years old. Yes, we have been through a whole lot together and it is wonderful to have her come visit!
We really haven't done much except talk and remember old times together. We did a little shopping yesterday and then went to visit Amy and the girls today. She had never met any of our grandchildren...it was so fun to have her finally meet some of them.
It is amazing to me how you can not be or have seen a dear friend for sooo many years, and as soon you get back together ( it is like you had never been apart ). What a treat to be with her.
So what a treat these past days have been.
Good Night dear friends!

What a Blessing!

Today our little granddaughter Miss Oakley got blessed at church. Oh how we wished would could have been there for it. But since we were both there just a few months ago, to help them move in and for the arrival of Miss Oakley, we just couldn't afford. But some of her family got to be there, so we were grateful for that.
Krystal was worried about the dress might not fit, since Oakley is growing so fast. This dress was crocheted by Krystal's Great Grandmother, so Oakley's Grandmother, Mom and Aunt ...all wore this Blessing Dress, I love that it has been handed down for generations! Isn't this a beautiful dress...for such a beautiful little girl. I love that she had this and my blessing afghan with her, at least a part of us is with her. I love this little girl

My girls!!!

Today started early when I left at 6:30 am for Amy's house. She has had a bad toothache since Friday and went to have it checked out on Tuesday. She found out that she had a bad cavity in one of her Wisdom Teeth. But instead of doing that, they thought the best thing would be for her to have all 4 of her Wisdom Teeth out today at 8:15am.
So I headed out and got the girls up and out the door for school. Audrey and I watched Daniel the Tiger show till Amy came back from her surgery. A friend brought her home and to be honest...she looked pretty good...not loopy at all. When Brad came home, he tried to get out of the car while I was driving :), Lauren was hurting pretty bad and she just slept and moaned some...and then there was Lee, who kept trying to make a phone call from his wallet :) So I was glad to see that she wasn't hurting too bad.
So I spent the day watching over this little  sweet, crazy and wild little girl Miss Audrey...she is tough through and through!
But when she is sweet...

She is really, really sweet! Love my girls and glad that I was able to help out today and that Amy is on her road to recovery!

What a weekend!

Today was my Stocking Class at Circa 15, it went really well and I didn't stop till an hour and half later. It was fun to see so many of my dear friends, as well as make some new ones. I think everyone agreed with me, that this is the fastest and easiest stocking pattern I have ever done. Good thing because I need do more stockings for my family ...before December!!!! They will have to be a bit different if I do them the new way, but as long as they are as big as the the other stockings...I don't think any one will complain!

So Saturday Jeff took Angie to her Volleyball game, I went to pick up Jenny from a birthday party. We thought our Sleep Over was over but ...we thought that if we could work things right on Saturday then we could have two more days together. Lucky for us...we got it all figured out so we got 2 more days, Yeah!
So we went to Mulbacks for their Fall Festival...just look at the fun we

Look at Angie's face, that is some serious coloring on that ghost sucker!

Then we found the stuffed animals... and so let's just say we had a bit of our time there!

Pumpkin  contests, photo props!

After Mulbacks we headed home and then got showers and clothes out and ready for Sunday, then movie and popcorn before we went to bed.

Then Sunday after church we decided to create something.
Our first concern was for all the animals in the house, where do they sleep at night? :) So we decided to make some blankets and holders for them to sleep in!

Then once we made some for their animals...we thought of a few more animals that might need a home and place to stay. I was able to get them adopted today! Sweet!
Now can you tell why I didn't blog for awhile? I am still tired, happy... but tired!

2 Day Sleep Over/ Operation Christmas

The girls came over Thursday because they were out of school. So school's out = Sleep Over at Nana's house! It was a beautiful fall day so we had a great time. The girls picked more Gourds. We thought that we were growing Pumpkins but ... to our surprise we were growing gourds. Funny it didn't seem to bother the girls at all... they loved the gourds too! Oh to be a kid!

This morning the girls woke up and climbed in bed with me and we talked, giggled and laughed for over an hour ...talking about why I wanted to be named Nana when I first found out that I was going to be a Grandmother. They really laughed at some of my ancestor's names as grandparents!

Then we decided to eat breakfast and then stay in our jammies and do some kind of creative project.
I feel blessed that they love to create with Nana! :)

We decided to work on a project called OPERATION CHRISTMAS!!!!
So we set up stations, the girls made beautiful signs for each station. We even had Bathroom Station...necessary I guess! :)

Jenny really loved to get back on the sewing machine, she is really doing a good!

We even had an Ironing Station! Angie totally ironed all the fabric we used!
The foot stools I have made it perfect for both of them to be able to reach their machine foot pedals.
We had all kinds of stations...we had a cutting, sewing, ironing, serging, turning, pressing,  and stuffing! Oh we had sooo much fun with OPERATION  CHRISTMAS!

I love that my girls, actually all my kids love to serve and create! What sweet hearts they have!!!!

A leap of Faith!

Many of you know that my family and I are about to start a business together. I will start teaching online sewing and quilting classes soon. Everyone is excited and everyone is sharing in the resposibilities of taking on such a big commitment.
Now if you are my age or older, you might realize that this is a huge leap of faith for me. I have never done anything like this before. Oh, it is not the teaching that scares me, or the being in front of people ...because I have been teaching art and craft classes for years, as well as doing my motivational speaking. And I love it ,but this is different.
This is in front of a camera and is being video taped. I have a hard enough time having my picture taken, and have never liked hearing my voice on the answering machine ( does anyone ? ). Now we are putting both of these elements together to make a business.
When we had a family meeting the other day, I watched Jeff and the kids talk, get involved and excited about this business. I asked him, why he thought this was going to work? He simply said, "because we all believe in you!" What a blessing to have so many people who love me and believe in me.
Dollar Tree Treasures and Lots of Ideas!:
So I am trying to get ready for this leap of faith, trying to like and accept the person I see in the mirror and trying to remember that "with the help of so many family and friends around me, I can do anything!"
Thanks for believing in me. LynnMade is on it's way!
Good night dear friends!

Cinderella went home today!

Today I sewed most of the day, trying to do 4 classes is a bit tricky so I am trying to stay on top of it.

I finished a stocking for the Stocking Class I am going to teach next Tuesday at Circa 15 at11:00am - 2:00pm
I am excited about teaching this class, I love how easy and simple this stocking is...and it's lined plus cuffed! Fast and fun!

Then later in the day, Cinderella's Mom came to pick her up from the Woodard Hospital.
She was sooo cute as we read the medical reports that the Doctor wrote up for her, on how to take care of her when she took her home! It was just too sweet!
I am glad that Cinderella is heading home and I know she will be well taken care of and loved...even more!
