I'm not the only ONE!

Hey after reading this article... I realized how great I felt that there are others ( ok an elephan:) that can benifit from having a prosthetic like me. Actually, I felt blessed that I am happy ...even though I am different that others.
found the article HERE:

Then I saw this story about the Pink dophin and that made me smile. I love the uniqueness of it, it is different but beautiful in it's own way.
Look at this dolphin HERE:

Hmmm...thinking there is a lesson here. To be grateful for what we have, to be happy. Be yourself, believe in yourself, and to do as Mother Theresa said...

"Spread love everywhere you go: First of all in your own house... let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.

So true!
Good Night dear friends!

beautiful heart break

Found another great video from Hilary Weeks that was simply uplifting! Just reading the words... is inspiring, but the video is great too!

Watch the music video  HERE:

Beautiful Heartbreak lyrics
I had it all mapped out in front of me,
Knew just where I wanted to go;
But life decided to change my plans,
And I found a mountain in the middle of my road.

I knew there was no way over it,
So I searched for a way around;
Brokenhearted I started climbin',
And at the top I found...

Every fear, every doubt,
All the pain I went through;
Was the price that I paid to see this view;
And now that I'm here I would never trade...

The grace that I feel,
And the faith that I find;
Through the bitter-sweet tears,
And the sleepless nights;

I used to pray he'd take it all away,
But instead it became a beautiful heartbreak.

I never dreamed my heart would make it,
I thought about turning around;
But heaven has shown me miracles,
I never would have seen from the ground.

Now I take the rain with the sunshine,
Cause there's one thing that I know;
He picks up the pieces,
Along each broken road.

Every fear, every doubt,
All the pain I went through;
Was the price that I paid to see this view;
And now that I'm here I would never trade...

The grace that I feel,
And the faith that I find;
Through the bitter-sweet tears,
And the sleepless nights.

I used to pray he'd take it all away,
But instead it became a beautiful heartbreak.

I would never trade...

The grace that I feel,
And the faith that I find;
Through the bitter-sweet tears,
And the sleepless nights.

I used to pray he'd take it all away,
But instead it became a beautiful heartbreak.

I have to say that I truly believe what this song says....I have learned some of important life's lessons through my hardest trials!

Good night dear friends!

We made it to the top!

Today we went to church and it is neat to see that the church is the same, no matter where you go in the world. It was also funny, because we saw a family that used to be our neighbors there. They just moved to Hawaii 3 weeks earlier. ( Small world ) After church they had by the door fresh avocados and papaya for you to take. Now I would imagine that you wouldn't find that happening any where else but Hawaii...how fun.
 Then after lunch we decided to take a drive. For the last few years that Neal, Shirley and kids have been to Hawaii, they have attempted to drive to the top of Waimea Canyon, to the point of look out over Napali! Each time someone in the family got car sick from all the twisting roads that go all the way up. There were 4 lookout areas plus a museum. They however never made it past the first two look outs. We were blessed that today, that no one got sick and there was lots of sunshine, so we made it to the top. I will let the photos do the rest of the talking tonight!

Beautiful People!

I saw this quote on a friend's face book page. I loved it! Isn't that true? Don't we all know people like this and aren't we all grateful for these beautiful people who come into our lives? I know I am. I think what I like the most... is the countenance on their face, confidence in their smile and gratitude in their eyes. They have lived a lot of life, they have experienced much and they truly understand why they are here.
 Yes, there are a lot of beautiful people in the world... and I am not talking about the ones that the world thinks are beautiful...but the ones that are not only survivors of the trials of life...but the ones that are thriving and making the world a better place just by their beauty and example!
Thank you to all those beautiful people in my life, who have taught me so much!

Day 6

I could hardly wait to get up this morning because we were going to secretly go to the same restaurant that one of my dear friends and her family will be at for breakfast. I haven't seen her in about 3 years and I knew she didn't do the Internet so she wouldn't know that I was going on this road trip. My friend and her family were already sitting down at the table when I walked in... I walked in and asked what she wanted to order. Her face was worth it all. She was so surprised and then we both cried. I have missed her so much, how I wished I could have done that with everyone of my friends along the way! We got to spend a couple of hours together, how fun it was to see her kids and how much they have grown. What a wonderful family, I am blessed to have so many wonderful friends.

Before we got on the road, we found a TRADER JOES....we were so excited, so we filled up our cooler and got some healthy snacks along the way. I love Trader Joes store! Then a quick trip by Jo Ann's so that I could get more yarn to keep crocheting in the car. I will have a ton of things finished by the time I get back to Seattle.

As we drove into Indiana we found a town called Santa Claus... no kidding! I thought I had died and gone to Heaven, you know how much I love Christmas! Every shop had a Santa Claus beside them. We went into The Christmas Shop and now that is a place that I could work, every inch of it was Christmas, from the music, to the all the decorated trees, ornaments of every kind and lights you could imagine! I could have stayed there forever! On our way out of town we saw Rudolf Lane, what a great place to live.

Then we were back in the car for the long haul through St Louis to Missouri, only a couple of stops, one for food and then one to stretch our legs. The clouds were looking pretty scary but luckily we drove out of it. By the time we crossed the St. Louis bridge the sun was setting and actually making it hard for us to see our exit signs, but it was beautiful evening to drive! Good night dear friends, I have to head to the pool!

True Love sees beyond the physical!

It's Date night, but here is a sweet love story for you. Good night dear friends.  Military: A beautiful true love story

One day, a young guy and a young girl fell in love.
But the guy came from a poor family. The girl’s parents weren’t too happy.
So the young man decided not only to court the girl but to court her parents as well. In time, the parents saw that he was a good man and was worthy of their daughter’s hand.
But there was another problem: The man was a soldier. Soon, war broke out and he was being sent overseas for a year. The week before he left, the man knelt on his knee and asked his lady love, “Will you marry me?” She wiped a tear, said yes, and they were engaged. They agreed that when he got back in one year, they would get married.
But tragedy struck. A few days after he left, the girl had a major vehicular accident. It was a head-on collision.
When she woke up in the hospital, she saw her father and mother crying. Immediately, she knew there was something wrong.
She later found out that she suffered brain injury. The part of her brain that controlled her face muscles was damaged. Her once lovely face was now disfigured. She cried as she saw herself in the mirror. “Yesterday, I was beautiful. Today, I’m a monster.” Her body was also covered with so many ugly wounds.
Right there and then, she decided to release her fiancé from their promise. She knew he wouldn’t want her anymore. She would forget about him and never see him again.
For one year, the soldier wrote many letters—but she wouldn’t answer. He phoned her many times but she wouldn’t return her calls.
But after one year, the mother walked into her room and announced, “He’s back from the war.”
The girl shouted, “No! Please don’t tell him about me. Don’t tell him I’m here!”
The mother said, “He’s getting married,” and handed her a wedding invitation.
The girl’s heart sank. She knew she still loved him—but she had to forget him now.
With great sadness, she opened the wedding invitation.
And then she saw her name on it!
Confused, she asked, “What is this?”
That was when the young man entered her room with a bouquet of flowers. He knelt beside her and asked, “Will you marry me?”
The girl covered her face with her hands and said, “I’m ugly!”
The man said, “Without your permission, your mother sent me your photos. When I saw your photos, I realized that nothing has changed. You’re still the person I fell in love. You’re still as beautiful as ever. Because I love you!”
