Happy New Year 2016

Today Jeff, Lee, Caitlin and I went to Mukilteo Lighthouse and the beach and Ferry.
Caitlin has never been to Washington and so we wanted to show her how beautiful it is!

We didn't get off till late today but made it just in time for the most beautiful Sunset!

We couldn't stay too long because it was sooooo very cold. About 33 degrees out and getting colder as it got darker.

I think even though 2015 was good, that 2016 is going to better. I just need to make sure that I keep going, moving and stretching myself. This is the year of starting LynnMade... so we have lots to look forward to!
Did I tell you that I think Washington is the most beautiful place on earth? It is or at least one of the most beautiful places to live!
Happy New Year dear friends!

Look Up!

Last night Jeff and I got a blanket and just laid outside and looked at the stars. How grateful we felt for the many, many gifts that our Heavenly Father has given us. Gratitude was the best way to explain our evening!
This quote is true about a lot of things in life! Have faith, do your best, hold on and LOOK UP, you are NEVER ALONE!

Grateful!

Well, this was a long week, but I was grateful to feel a bit stronger, have my voice back and to finally get to see the girls again. Also Jeff came home last night, I sure missed him but I was glad that he got to go help Brad and Krystal move into their new house.
It's fun to see how creative the girls get with just with some paper, scissors, markers, and scotch tape. Doesn't take much to make them happy!
Jenny said she drew this picture of she and I. She said "Nana, I drew me and you together with all your favorite colors, Red, Green and Yellow and I put Christmas decorations around us to, since you love Christmas so much!"  That little girl sure knows her Nana!
Audrey is learn more new words every day. Tonight she wanted to eat dinner outside in her house! Fun to hear her talk so much now!

I was grateful for the chance to make a new friend the other night. She was a lady who came into the shop a week or so ago and Friday night she came by my house to pick something up. Friday was my first day up and by that night I was pretty tired, but felt impressed to have her come in and visit for awhile. As we sat on the deck with another beautiful summer evening, I was able to listen to her life story. She had had some very hard times in her life, she felt alone and I was glad that she had come by. I could relate to many things she talked about. But most of all I was thankful to remind her that God loved her and knew about her trials. I promised her that if she would pray, that He would always be there to support her and help make her equal to any task or trial that life could throw at her. When she left, I knew that it was not chance that we met one day at the Quilt Shop. I believe everything happens for a reason. I was grateful to make yet another ...dear friend! One can never have too many! :)

Happy Birthday!

Today is Jeff's Birthday! I am very grateful that years ago... this boy from Michigan just happen to be visiting in West Virginia so... that this girl could meet him!

Here is a photo of us for our 1st Christmas card ( I was pregnant with Amy ...just barely.)

I am so excited that we have had this time together as Empty Nesters. We started our family early so we didn't have a lot of time together as Newly Weds...so this time has been a real treat!
He has turned out to be an amazing Dad, and now an even better Grandfather ( Poppa )!

Here is some photos of Amy and Jeff when she was born, turning one, showing a T -shirt we made to say she was goin to be a Big Sister and then one when she was Three! She still looks the same but without those cute bangs! :)

He may be getting a bit older but...he has always been young at heart!

Hope you know how much we love you Jeff!

And we hope you have the best year ever!

Gratitude!

What a fun weekend this was. The girls were here for a two day sleep over. We did lots of things like let them have their meals out in the play house.

They even put little birds in the window! :)

So fun to watch them pretend!
Ellie got a new jacket and headband for Memorial Day!
Miss Josie got a new outfit too! I knew I should have been making outfits a long time ago...just in case they ever got into dolls!  But we had fun picking out fabric from my stash and Angie was reading the pattern to me the whole time. She is learning!

I ask the girls to write down or draw about what they heard in church yesterday.
Jenny was trying to draw the people up front that were speaking, but it was too hard she said...so she just drew a Monkey family in church speaking instead!  Love it!
Jeff spoke in church yesterday, so Angie drew him speaking. She even put creases in his jacket! Amazing!
Then we got up early this morning to go to the Memorial Day Breakfast and Ceremony, that we had at church. I am so glad the girls went with us and learned about all the sacrifice that the Service men and women have given and still give for our freedom.
As young as they are, they still seemed to be touched!

Then a dear friend of mine and her litle boy came over to visit for a bit. I am teaching her how to crochet, and he played blocks with the girls! He is too cute!
After dinner, we celebrated Jeff and Amy's Birthday early...since we were all together. Jeff's birthday is Weds. and Amy's is just 3 days later. They have really celebrated many birthdays together and they really don't seem to mind! We put 9 candles and the candle number 1 on their cake. Because between them they have 91 years together! That was my idea :)
Like Father like Daughter... they both love to sing and enjoy music!
Audrey helped them blow out the candles!
Presents time...Audrey helping out again! More craft supplies for Amy... she is alot like her Mother too I guess! Look at that happy face!

Here is what it looks like, when you picked out the right gift!
Audrey had to help Poppa too!

It was a fun weekend. Lots of creating and celebrating. I am grateful for both!
Good Night dear friends!

Happy Father's Day! 2014

We got a new printer and I haven't learned how to scan on it yet, but glad that the kids have a few photos of their Dad! I have said this more than one time, but Jeff is absolutely a Better Dad and Poppa than I could have ever dreamed of!  He loves his kids and grand kids so much. What I am grateful for is his example to them. He not only teaches them but shows them by how he lives. He is a Dad that anyone would be proud to have. How blessed we are to have him in our lives!  We love you Jeff, Happy Father's Day!

Jeff never misses an  opportunity to have fun with his kids!

Daddy's first little girl! Ok, big girl Amy Marie!

Happy Father's Day to Brad! Can't believe my boy is now a Dad but he is doing an incredible job. Kai is blessed to have you. Love ya!

Happy Father's Day to John,
John has his job cut out with him with 3 little red heads ( well now 2 red heads and a strawberry blonde ), but he is so patient and good with them. How blessed their lives will be to have such a great Dad! Happy Father's Day John!

To the man who keeps us all together!

Our family is growing fast. Love you Jeff, Dad and Poppa!

It's your Birthday!

Today is Jeff's Birthday! I can't believe that we have been able to share this many birthdays together, what a blessing! I know that we are each getting older, but I still remember the first date we ever went on June 9th 1978. ( I know you can close your mouth now, it sorta fell open when you read how many years ago that was ). Anyway on our way home from the date, Jeff looked over at me and asked me how old I was. I hesitated and then said "Well, I will be 18 in about a month from now". I thought he was going to wreck the car, he had just turned 21 years old and he couldn't believe I was only 18. He kept saying it over and over " you are only 18!" Like he was doing something illegal! 3 years at that time seemed like a huge age difference. Funny how things look different throughout the years!
One of the best things Jeff and I have going for us ...is our weird sense of humor. It has pulled us through a lot of hard times and bad times. I thought of that sense of humor when I saw the cartoon below...

Happy Birthday Jeff, I love you more than words can say!
Thanks to all of you, who remembered Jeff's birthday...it made him feel special!
Good night dear friends1
