Let's get comfy and cozy!

I think it's interesting how fast after Christmas that all the decorations come down and everything goes back to normal life again!
How grateful I am that in my own home... I can keep the holidays in my heart and in my home.

 Some fun wintery cards!
Some snuggles with my cute little Miss Audrey. She said to me "Nana lets sit by the fireplace and get comfy and cozy". It's only a little heater...but she turned off all the lights and we sat there and had fun. The funny thing was, she kept saying..."but Nana we need marshmallows for the fire", I kept saying it was only paper that looks like fire! Somehow even though she knew that...she still wanted her marshmallows! :)
I love seeing and smelling the the  pine wreaths on the doors! It is still Winter right?
Even though it's not snowing here, it is Winter and I want to keep the decorations up for awhile, it makes me feel happy! OK, true confessions...I still have my Christmas music on! :)

"He who marvels at the beauty of the world in summer will find equal cause for wonder and admiration in winter..In winter the stars seem to have rekindled their fires, the moon achieves a fuller triumph, and the heavens wear a look of a more exalted simplicity. ~ John Burroughs

QuiltCon Day 2

I got to work later today because my Grandson Kai has had the stomach flu. Last night he got worse and so no one slept too well. I ended up getting to work around 11:30 and worked till 2:00 or so. First thing I did when I got there was look up the booth with the BIG SEWING MACHINE, and you could even ride it! ONLY IN TEXAS are things this BIG!

There were a lot more people there today so, we were really hopping in our booth.

Here are my 2 new friends... working hard! :)
What a fun day!

Krystal is so sweet to pick me up everyday, and then we spend an hour or two... just looking around.

Here are Cindy and Jina from Riley Blake. Jina is friends with my sister in law Shirley. So she is waving hi to Miss Shirley!

I am so thrilled that Ellen ( the designer of the Quilting Disks ) invited me to work at QuiltCon with her... what a fun experience!
Came home this evening and took Kai and Keeva a walk to the park. Came home to a wonderful homemade dinner, and then toasted marshmallows on the fire pit outside.

Then read the Tickle Book to Kai that his Nona got him. It is the cutest book ever, I had not ever seen it before. You can look it up HERE:
Then last but not least...
we called our son-in-law Nik,  and sang Happy Birthday to him! Fun to have him in our family!

Happy Birthday! We love you Nik!!!
