I love this quote...
A dear friend or a good family member ...is all it takes to make you happy and want to yet another day with them!
Those are the type of friend we need to be to others!

Good Night dear friends!

Life is all about balance. Realizing there is a time and place for everything that you do. As a young Mother, I used to get out of balance a lot. Thinking every day that if I did just a little bit more, then I would be the best Mom in the world to my kids. I am sure that my kids could tell you memories of crazy times in our lives. Most of those are probably when I was trying to do it ALL! As we get older and wiser ( sometimes ) we realize that we can’t do it all, we quit comparing ourselves with others and just do the best we can. We pray daily for guidance and strive to do what needs to be done for today only.
The last couple of days, I have been trying to do it all and have failed miserably. I tried to create something that normally would have taken a month or so, but I tried to do it all in one day! Those of you who know me are smiling right now! I love to get things done, I like not to have to spend a lot of time at it either but…when I do one of those crazy marathon days, I pay for it royally! For the last two days, I have been pretty much down. I have been hurting and not really able to accomplish hardly anything, why do I do that? I guess that is the age old question? Why am I such a slow learner?
So today, I once again had to look at my NEW Goal Chart then recommit myself to slowing down and trying to find BALANCE again! Funny, just a few years ago I was praying that I would feel well enough to do something again. Now look at me, I am doing a lot of things and really enjoying the fact that I am participating in LIFE again. Still there are those days and weeks that I get out of balance. Lucky for me, my body won’t let me get by with that crazy stuff too long before it just stops and I have to lay down and rethink my actions. Still I wonder why in the world it takes me soooooooooooooooooooo long to learn the same thing? I guess that is called LIFE, that is called being HUMAN…that is being reminded that I am NOT SUPER WOMAN… but just a normal woman, once again trying to find my BALANCE!!!
Good night dear friends, this unbalanced woman is going to be early and try to stop my body from hurting. Thank goodness for tomorrow, I get to get up and try again! I will also remember a quote from one of my favorite movies Anne of Green Gables, where she is told not to worry…. “Tomorrow is fresh, with no mistakes in it! “

“Balance, peace, and joy are the fruit of a successful life. It starts with recognizing your talents and finding ways to serve others by using them.” ~ Thomas Kinkade
“Wisdom is your perspective on life, your sense of balance, your understanding of how the various parts and principles apply and relate to each other.” ~ Steven R. Covey
I don't know if you have ever read any of Max Lucado's children's books? They are amazing! My favorite one is YOU ARE SPECIAL. If you ever have the chance to read them, do it! So, you can imagine how excited I was when someone sent me one of his quotes! I hope you enjoy it!
"Today I will make a difference. I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of his thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and hopeful. I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines, and traffic jams be my masters. I will avoid negativism and gossip. Optimism will be my companion, and victory will be my hallmark. Today I will make a difference.
I will be grateful for the twenty-four hours that are before me. Time is a precious commodity. I refuse to allow what little time I have to be contaminated by self-pity, anxiety, or boredom. I will face this day with the joy of a child and the courage of a giant. I will drink each minute as though it is my last. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever. While it is here, I will use it for loving and giving. Today I will make a difference.
I will not let past failures haunt me. Even though my life is scarred with mistakes, I refuse to rummage through my trash heap of failures. I will admit them. I will correct them. I will press on. Victoriously. No failure is fatal. It's OK to stumble...I will get up. It's OK to fail...I will rise again. Today I will make a difference.
I will spend time with those I love. My spouse, my children, my family. A man can own the world but be poor for the lack of love. A man can own nothing and yet be wealthy in relationships. Today I will spend at least five minutes with the significant people in my world. Five quality minutes of talking or hugging or thanking or listening. Five undiluted minutes with my mate, children, and friends.
Today I will make a difference."
