This is so true!

Perspective is a wonderful thing and thank goodness it is. That is why this statement is so true, perspective and time all mixed together helps situations that seemed so upsetting, something that we can laugh about later. My biggest experience of these things are things that happened to me as a Mom and and a wife. At the time the situation seemed so bad and unbelievable. Now they are the best stories that we tell around the dinner table. Yes, time helps and perspective too. I am grateful for both, that way I have a lot of stories to share with  you on my blog.
good place~
I have one for instance, we were late picking the older kids up for school and Lauren had been a pill all day. When we finally got to the school, I hurried and unbuckled the baby and then went to Lauren's side to help her out. She was one of those kids that if you had to tell her what  you didn't want her to do so that she would actually do what you wanted her to do. You know the kind you always had to use REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY on, but not every day or they would figure that out too.
Well, as I took her hand to help her out of the car, she resisted ( as usual) so I pulled her hand a bit harder. After about 3 times of this pulling and tugging game, she pointed to her seat belt ( it was still buckled ) . Man, did I ever feel bad, and she wasn't too happy either. I felt bad the whole day that I got so frustrated at her, and this time she actually was innocent.
Years later, as I think or tell that story we laugh, we laughed at what a tough toddler she was ( we called her our PMS toddler, if that gives you a clue), we laughed at how crazy things got when all 4 of them were in the car. Yes, now I am laughing, but that day and many others... I wasn't. So this along with a million other experiences tells me that this quote is very true.
So the next time you have a situation that makes you made...remember this quote!
This is a photo of Lauren ( all grown up and very nice now, and her is our youngest granddaughter Jenny...who is just like her Aunt Lauren! )

I should have kept it!

I smile when I saw a class being taught on HOW TO WEAR YOUR SCARFS, there seemed to be a ton of ways to tie them. When I was a teenager, I remember going to Anderson Newcomes store with my Mom. Next to the make up counter was a lady demonstrating how to wear and tie your scarfs. I was so excited and begged my Mom to get me a couple of them. Which she did ( probably just to stop the begging ) of course I wouldn't want to admit this to my kids. But I had for years the handouts that I got in that class and over the years, you seldom would see me without a scarf.
I really should have kept the scarfs, the pattern and colors would have been right back in style now! I feel that way about quite a few items that I wore in my younger days.
As a young Mom, my advice to you would be... keep as much stuff as you can because...some day it will come back in style and you won't have to buy it again! But really, who has that much storage space that they can do that? But still , I smile when I see things that I had back in the day, and now they are vintage and cool once again! Who knew? ( I think that means I am getting older! )
Here is a photo of me and my cute nephew getting our scarfs on for the Western Themed party we went to! Yes, I still love scarfs!
Good night dear friends!

Too funny!

Life is just funny sometimes, it seems if you don’t laugh and try to have a sense of humor then … reality will just make you cry. So I would much rather laugh than cry personally.

Today was a rainy day and my youngest granddaughter Jenny had new rain boots on, but she kept complaining about them and wanting to take one of them off. When Amy finally

decided to take off the boot for her to see what in the world could be wrong with it, she found a plastic baby spoon! The whole time Jenny had been walking on that spoon, as soon

as they took the spoon off, she began to smile!

Life is so funny and so unpredictable, you just have to smile! I hope on tough days that you will try to see the funny side of the situation

and sit down and just smile!  And if you are a Mother…smiling or laughing is the best weapon you have to survive ( trust me I know from personal experience that this is really true)! Smile
