It's Veteran's Day...thank you!

It's Veteran's Day...thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

I am a proud American! Thank you my husband and son...for all you have given for our freedom! I love you
 Courage

In 1919, President Woodrow Wilson declared that November 11, the day of the World War I armistice in 1918, should be honored with "solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country's service, and with gratitude for the victory." In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower and Congress changed the day of remembrance from Armistice Day to Veterans Day.

"On (Nov. 11), let us solemnly remember the sacrifices of all those who fought so valiantly, on the seas, in the air, and on foreign shores, to preserve our heritage of freedom, and let us reconsecrate ourselves to the task of promoting an enduring peace so that their efforts shall not have been in vain," Eisenhower's proclamation said.

Through these historic photos, we pay tribute to the veterans — both those who are living, and those who were lost — of World War I, World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, the Gulf War, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and many other battles for freedom and peace throughout history.
