Time!

This time last year, I had just finished up from my healing from my radiation, trying to get my energy back and we were anxiously awaiting for the arrival of our 2 granddaughter. It is funny, some time... TIME  passes quickly, and at other times, it seems to go so slow. Usually it depends on what is going on in your life good or bad, that makes TIME ... change speeds ( or at least it seems that way).

“Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.”  ~ Henry Van Dyke

When I drove into the parking lot at church today, I saw a family get out of their car and started walking toward the door and I thought...they sure look familiar. Later in church I recognized who they were. They were dear friends that we had not seen in almost 13 years, I was sooooooooooooooooo excited to see them! They now have two darling little boys. I can't actually put into words how neat that was. I felt so blessed to see them again, and to see how happy they are. Thankful also, that we now can reconnect and hopefully stay in better touch with each other!

"Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget"

Then tonight as we had dinner out on the deck, I looked around to see almost all my family sitting around having dinner together. There was laughter, the passing of all the food, 2 or 3 conversations going on at once, Angie coloring and putting art work all over the house and Miss Jenny smacking her hands on the table and making loud noises (which translated meant...I want more food!), and I felt so blessed! Yes, life is hard and we have definitely had our share of trials and troubles, but when you look at the whole picture ...we are all still together, we all love each other. We know that family and friends can be eternal, and we have the knowledge that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ! That is a huge blessing and brings a great peace in our lives, peace that the world can't give us.  Then I sat back in my chair and thought.... this is truly a wonderful life!
