Miracles

I love this quote by Albert Einstein..."Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous."

I have my whole life believed that everything happens for a reason, and have personally witnessed many times in my life MIRACLES! I used to think as a child... that a miracle meant something Magical had to happened, but as I have grown up, I realize that miracles are part of our every day lives, the trick is to notice them for what they are. Here is another quote that says it better...

"Miracles are natural. When they do not occur something has gone wrong"

I think the reasons that we don't witness or acknowledge them in our lives is because we either don't believe in them or that we are so caught up in life that we stop looking for them. I think we need to be actively participating in life to see them more clearly. Like this quote says...

"I have found in life that if you want a miracle you first need to do whatever it is you can do - if that's to plant, then plant; if it is to read, then read; if it is to change, then change; if it is to study, then study; if it is to work, then work; whatever you have to do. And then you will be well on your way of doing the labor that works miracles."  ~ Jim Rohn

Let me share with you one of those miracles that happened to me the other day. I was just dropping something off to Jeff at work and felt impressed that I should go into a fabric store ( I know what you are thinking, this is where I lost Jeff in the story too :) but it was true, I thought I needed to go in there. In my defense, I knew I didn't really NEED anything but... I went anyway. While in there I was offered help by one of the sales person. As she was cutting my material ( ok, I had to buy something ) she had offered to show me something else and I said I  was in kind of a hurry because I had to go to Physical Therapy, then she mentioned how hard Physical Therapy can be. I mentioned that it was for my cancer and not something real strenuous. She then mentioned to me that her sister has Breast Cancer and that she is really struggling through the treatments right now. BINGO...I finally realized why I was there! ( Ok, it cost me $9.00 but...at least I knew why I was there! ) As we talked and shared our stories, I knew that I might be able to help in some way. That night I prayed to know how to help her sister, yes a stranger to me but .... a fellow survivor so...we are connected in some way. The next morning, I knew what to do, so I got one of our RECNAC GIFT Seat Belt Covers and dropped it off to her at the store. She almost cried as I gave it to her, I told her to give it to her sister and tell her it was from one survivor to the other.

Yesterday I got the sweetest email from this lady, thanking me for the miracle of that gift. Coincidence, I don't think so.  Then yesterday Lauren and I were visiting a darling store and we met the owner who offered to start carrying Lauren's inspirational cards. As we were about the leave the store she said to us " this morning I prayed for inspiration in my day and then you both came to my store" It was an honor to have her feel that way and I was truly grateful to see others acknowledge God working in their lives.

"Miracles are a retelling in small letters of the very same story which is written across the whole world in letters too large for some of us to see."  ~ C.S. Lewis

I hope each day that we are actively involved in our lives, so that we can be a part of... and a witness to all that God truly does for us. The miracles are all around us!

Thanks to each of you for the MIRACLE that you have been in our lives!
