Time...how do you measure it?

We just spent the evening with some dear friends, that used to be our neighbors. Our kids were young then, now we are exchanging REMEMBER WHEN stories, and trying to remember names and faces. It was fun, it is hard to believe that was almost 9 -10 years ago. We had a wonderful dinner and evening together, the hours just flew by, that's what happens when you are having fun and with someone you love.
How grateful we feel to have them as our dear friends. You know you are dear friends, when you haven't seen on talk to each other in years or maybe months... and as soon as you start talking, it was like you were together yesterday. We just started our conversations it seemed, where we left off! They are great people and it was fun to catch up on each other's families and to hear what they have been doing lately. Life is certainly a place to learn and grow. A place to reconnect and cherish. Life is good, and I am grateful for the time we had to share with them tonight!

TIME

Time is not measured
by the years that you live
But by the deeds that you do
and the joy that you give

And each day as it comes
brings a chance to each one
To love to the fullest
leaving nothing undone

That would brighten the life
or enlighten the load
Of some weary traveler
lost on Life's Road

So what does it matter
how long we may live
If as long as we live
we unselfishly give.

"Time goes by so fast, people go in and out of your life. You must never miss the opportunity to tell these people how much they mean to you."

"One must learn a different... sense of time, one that depends more on small amounts than big ones."  ~Sister Mary Paul

"May your love grow with each day that passes, may you be lifelong friends and my the faith you have in each other, grow stronger with time."
