Grandchildren

Today I got to spend the day with my two granddaughters, we had a wonderful time! We started out with a snack, then put Jenny down for a nap. Next Angie and I were off to Nana's sewing room, where we created a special little purse for her. Then she played play dough, while her Mommy and I sewed some baby gifts.

Then Miss Jenny woke up and she helped me take out all my buttons and spread them all over the room. We played with the kitchen set and a ball too. Next we got a purse made for Jenny, this time I crocheted it ( while Jenny was crawling all over me ). Yes, it was a full and fun day! ( Did I mentioned that I am tired? )

A friend of mine saw me at the store with Amy and the girls the other night and said "you are so lucky to live close to your grandchildren." She is right, I realize that might always be the case with all my grandchildren, but I am at least going to try to enjoy each moment I am given. I hope I can make a difference in their lives, I hope I can help them understand their potential and value. I hope they know, that no matter what...Nana will always be there for them!
I love these quotes about Grandmothers ( of course it means Nanas too ). There is an amazing thing that happens to your heart, when you hold these special kids in your arms for the first time, life from then on...is never the same...it's BETTER!

HERE IS A PHOTO OF MY SWEET SISTER-IN-LAW with her three granddaughters, aren't they beautiful?

"It is as grandmothers that our mothers come into the fullness of their grace."    ~Christopher Morley

"Grandchildren are God's way of compensating us for growing old."   ~ Mary H. Waldrip

"Our grandchildren accept us for ourselves, without rebuke or effort to change us, as no one in our entire lives has ever done, not our parents, siblings, spouses, friends - and hardly ever our own grown children."
~Ruth Goode
