Celebrating each day!

Today was a great day, because once again I got to teach at the Quilt Shop. You know, I am sorta like Super Man (well ok, that is a stretch but let me explain), he gets his energy from the sun and I get my energy from people! It just brightens my day, to be around so many neat ladies! I just love having the chance to share some of my talents, and to make new friends.

Today is also our youngest daughter Lauren's 20th birthday, it is hard to imagine that she is 20 already! When she was a little girl, she was so tough to raise. She was definitely a LIVELY CHILD. She had a mind of her own and went to the beat of her own drum ( as they say )! We would laugh at some of the funny things she would do or say, then I would cry, wondering how in the world I am going to teach her anything...because you had to deal with her in a totally different way than the rest of the kids (we have 4). We always said that Lauren had so many different faces and moods when she was little. Yes, there were days that I wondered what she would turn out like, and yet by the time she hit her teens...she was a "piece of cake" to raise. From then on, everything got easier (parenting her at least) and it seemed like the sky was the limit for her hopes and dreams. It certainly has been fun to watch all four of our kids, grow and develop into the incredible people that they are. They all have accomplished more than I could have ever dreamed. I feel very blessed to be their Mother!

(since Lauren is a photographer, we happen to have of those different faces of Lauren)
